Paper as Part of the Design

We continue our four-part series "Color and Its Impact In Marketing," with a question; How about designing a finished direct mailer that becomes something tangible and special the recipient can keep forever? Blending a variety of color papers with inks that bring attention to any offer (special message) that draws action can easily be achieved by looking at paper as part of the design element. The right color mixed with paper, ink, and UV coating can lend itself to an amazing sensory experience.

Using color with a mix of materials is an excellent recipe for any direct mail project. The designs will look fascinating, and the customers’ sense of sight will convey pleasant tactile sensations that equate to quality and meaning.
